Could you provide a loan to enable Helen & Matt’s continued work with young people in Waltham Forest so full of potential through their work with Worth Unlimited.

Worth Unlimited is dedicated to improving the lives of young and their projects help young people work through their challenges in different ways but with the common purpose of inspiring hope in them for their future. They believe in creating safe spaces for young people, fostering meaningful relationships which help them discover their worth. They do this through open-access youth clubs, mentoring, counselling, family support and structured programmes, depending on the needs of each community. Through consistent pastoral support they build long-term, trusting connections with young people, allowing them to be heard and helping them overcome barriers, develop skills and discover their gifts and passions.

Helen as Branch Director leads the team in Waltham Forest, providing youth work and safeguarding interventions to young people in estates around the Borough. This includes running a Mobile Youth Venue (van) which is taken to several different locations each week, community centre based youth clubs and mentoring activities. The important aspect of this ministry is the supportive relationships built with young people.

They say “We continue to see a large number of young people who are victims of exploitation and abuse. We support these young people through their engagement with social services and, sadly, sometimes through the criminal justice system. We continue to engage with a large number of young people right in the heart of their neighbourhoods, bringing love, care and support to them in practical, tangible ways.”

This property has been owned by Mission Housing and Matt and Helen since June 2021. It was made possible when churches, organisations and individuals lent money to enable the purchase. By the middle of 2026, £20,000 of loans need to be repaid, so additional lenders need to be found to lend to Mission Housing.
