I need help with finding a home
If you're a salaried key Christian worker, Christian organisation, or church, Mission Housing may be able to support you in finding a suitable home right in the heart of the community you serve. By offering affordable and tailored housing solutions, we aim to help you live and work effectively, so you can focus on fulfilling your mission and making a lasting impact where it’s needed most.
If you have any questions, feel free to visit our FAQ page or reach out to us directly. We’re here to help you every step of the way!
Church or Christian Organisation
If your church or organisation wants to provide housing for staff or volunteers, we’d love to help. Mission Housing offers a Second Charge option to churches and Christian organisations purchasing property to house their workers. The church owns the property and may secure a mortgage (first charge). To bridge any funding gap, small loans are raised from supporters and Mission Housing combines them and provides the amount to the church—taking a second charge on the property. The goal is for the church to eventually repay the loans and own the property outright.
Shared Ownership
Mission Housing's shared ownership scheme provides a path to homeownership. If accepted, you'll need to contribute 25% to 75% of the property’s purchase price through a deposit (at least 10%) and mortgage. We'll then help you find people—like friends, family, or your church—willing to lend to Mission Housing to cover the rest. Once funds are secured, Mission Housing purchases the home and manages your loans, maintaining communication with lenders and offering support throughout the process. Our partnership continues beyond the purchase to ensure the home's long-term financing.
Affordable Tenancies
Mission Housing owns a small number of properties across London and manages a few others, all rented to key Christian workers at affordable, below-market rates on a long-term basis. Please note that the majority of our tenants are Long-Term, so tenancy vacancies are rare, and when available, they are advertised on our social media platforms.
We occasionally will have a spare room become available in a shared community house, where the occupants are often nominated by the associated church or Christian charity for whom the property was purchased.
Information and Support
If you're a key Christian worker, church, or organisation, securing housing can be a significant challenge. Even if we’re unable to assist you with our shared ownership scheme or affordable tenancies, our experienced staff are here to share their knowledge and guide you toward other potential options.
We occasionally may also be able to offer short-term housing grants or new tenancy deposit loans through our Housing Support Fund. If you would like more information about the Housing Support Fund, please contact the office.

“We are forever grateful for those who partner to make affordable housing available for those of us in ministry. The ability to live in the same area that we minister is so vitally important if we are to be incarnational in the way that Jesus was. THANK YOU and may you see the reward of your sacrifice both now and in the kingdom to come.”
