There was a surge in the room when the Family Church begun to pray for every child in Thornton Heath “behind every door where there is a child, God, would You go in and make a difference”.

From that moment, we decided to do children’s ministry that reached unchurched children. We turned our regular Sunday School into a modern-day Sunday School, named Kidz Klub! We doubled the number of children the day we launched Kidz Klub and have since reached thousands of children with the gospel. We have offered our Kidz Klub in the form of free after-school clubs in various primary schools across Croydon and Bromley.

The strategy is simple; ask local churches to adopt the local school, handing over the Kidz Klub to them, and we can support them while we move on to the next school. When every school has been reached, we would have gathered every child in Croydon under the sound of the gospel.

However, when a local councillor invited Kidz Klub to the Forestdale estates, we discovered that there was no church on the estate – no church to adopt Forestdale Primary School and work with the community for its success.

Joseph and Ruth started the church in their own home (rented accommodation), 5 years ago. Now, their 2 bedroom home is too small to accommodate their growing family and the church together. They need a larger home for their four children and enough space to host their church.

Joseph & Ruth are committed to serving God in South London, and need to find a permanent home. They love the work that they do and long for a home that can be a stable and secure base for their work and hospitality to flourish.

A home suitable for their requirements will cost in the region of £650,000 – which is more than they can afford. That’s why they are working in partnership with Mission Housing – a Christian charity that enables key Christian workers to buy a shared ownership.
