Could you provide a loan or donate to a deposit fund to enable Samuel and Sara to serve in East London?
Samuel and Sara are a very active part of the church family in East London. Samuel works voluntarily as their music co-ordinator and assists to run various evangelistic courses at their church, including their Life and More to Life courses, which seek to help non-Christians and very young Christians explore life with Jesus.
Samuel also helps to run a course at St Helen’s Bishopsgate called ‘Serving in Song’. This course seeks to enable musicians in churches to understand the place of music within church life and to train them to serve Jesus and their congregations more effectively.
The gifts God has given Samuel meant that during lockdown he was able to serve the church by producing recorded music remotely with their music team for the church’s pre-recorded services.
Alongside raising their son, Sara uses her time to read the Bible with women in the church, as well as co-ordinating the creche at one of Crossway’s morning services.
To help Samuel and Sara continue in their ministry, they are looking to buy a house in the Stratford area so that they can have a permanent home and put down roots within the community they serve.
A suitable home for Samuel, Sara and their family in the area will cost around £450,000, which is more than they can afford. Samuel and Sara are therefore partnering with Mission Housing – a Christian charity that enables key Christian workers to afford accommodation.
