Called to estate ministry in Hollingdean, Brighton, to establish a faith-based coaching, counselling & community enterprise.

SeanO and Fay have been committed to their work with children, young people & families in areas of deprivation in Brighton for the last 10 years. They are hoping to move to Hollingdean, which falls into the bottom 3 deciles of deprivation in the UK, to build an exciting faith-based organisation that serves the local community, and the broader Brighton and Hove area.

The area is noticeably divided by poverty & affluence, with surplus food initiatives & independent shops, council blocks & beautiful private homes, drug lines & artisan cafes, Pupil referral units (aka Alternative Provisions) & high-achieving secondary schools with, both, overflowing bins & alleyways adjacent to rolling hills used by dog walkers & thrill-seekers

Sean & Fay feel committed to partnering with God in this area, and it is evident that God is already at work through churches, community organisations, and individuals. They will be seeking to learn from and work alongside the Spirit & the local community in what He is doing and seek to join in with OR create what God is showing them. They have invested heavily in Brighton and they, along with their children, have had visions, dreams, words (and plenty of ideas!) depicting how they are to serve this city and its people.

SeanO and Fay are committed to serving God in Hollingdean and need to find a permanent home. They love living among the people they serve and want a home that can be a base for ministry and hospitality. A home suitable for their requirements will cost in the region of £415,000 – which is more than they can afford. That’s why they are working in partnership with Mission Housing – a Christian charity that enables key Christian workers to afford accommodation.

“Sean and Fay have been Urban Expression mission partners for 9 years working in Brighton. Most young families aim to move to more affluent areas but they want to make a long-term commitment, sharing God’s love with people in a place with huge challenges but also with great potential. We hope and pray that God will unlock the resources to make this possible.” - Urban Expressions

Could you provide a loan to enable SeanO & Fay to permanently move into the community they love to live and work?
