SUCCESS STORIES
Working with Hope into Action, Anne supports formerly homeless families, many of them refugees, to gain the skills needed to live independently, and churches to grow in their vision and skills for support.
After many ups and downs on the purchase journey, we lost one property under offer due to flood risk, and then she finally found a home that she fell in love with but needed a lot of work. We completed on Anne’s new home in October 2025, and she is now in the process of updating it before she moves in. Anne started her journey with Mission Housing back in November 2023, and it was a privilege to witness her deposit grow through generous gifts, and so many friends and supporters pledging loans to be part of the solution for an affordable shared ownership in Cambridge.
“THANK YOU, each of you, for praying, giving, investing and walking with me on this journey.”
she continues… “I could not have done it without {those who loaned or gifted money}, you and the many ways in which you have been the outpouring of God’s faithfulness, generosity and loving kindness towards me.
The journey started almost three years ago with a chance visit to an ex-colleague who happened to be a new Mission Housing homeowner. Completing the purchase was a very significant milestone and now start the process of making this house my home.”
