Richard and Lily
FUNDING OPPORTUNITY - CAMBRIDGE
“Last year the church celebrated its 200th anniversary, which both marked the Lord's faithfulness to them over many years, and also gave the church a renewed sense of expectancy as they seek to grasp the many new opportunities that a town like Cambridge constantly brings. ”
~ John - Senior Pastor
Could you provide a loan or donate to a deposit fund to enable Richard and Lily to serve in Cambridge?
Richard and Lily Brewster are moving to Cambridge in autumn 2026 for Richard to begin serving as the associate pastor of a Baptist Church.
It is a diverse church with people from many countries and backgrounds, including a large number of university students, and is committed to giving as many people as possible in Cambridge the opportunity to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus Christ.
The church has had associate and assistant pastors over the years, but the intention with this new permanent associate pastor role is for Richard to serve the church and its mission over a longer period – getting to know the church family, building relationships and gospel community, and helping develop ministries and leaders over a longer period.
Richard will be serving the whole church through preaching and pastoral work, including taking responsibility for the church’s homegroups.
Richard and Lily are deeply committed to serving God in Cambridge and need to find a permanent home. Living in the area served by the Church and near to the local school will allow their work and hospitality to flourish as well as providing stability for the family.
A home suitable for Richard and Lily in the Cambridge area will cost £600,000, which is more than they can afford. That’s why they are working in partnership with Mission Housing – a Christian charity that enables key Christian workers to afford accommodation.
Could you provide a loan to enable Richard and Lily to permanently move into the community they love to live and work in?
