SUCCESS STORIES
Neil and Cheryl lead the work at their church in South Croydon, with Neil overseeing all church activities and Cheryl overseeing the children’s work, they are a family devoted to caring for people in their church and in their area.
Neil and Cheryl approached Mission Housing in May 2025, desiring to purchase and put down roots in the area they serve, but they had to raise their deposit and a mortgage, and move out of their rented property. It was a privilege to watch how friends, family and supporters stepped in to give donations towards their deposit. This has truly been a collaborative and inspirational campaign.
An existing Mission Housing property’s tenant was looking to downsize, and it was in the perfect area, so Neil and Cheryl were able to part buy the property from Mission Housing and they moved in at the beginning of February 2026.
Mission Housing works in a very bespoke way with our associates and future shared owners, so we can be creative with housing solutions and outcomes!
